Bitcoin Encryption

Encryption

No matter who you talk to about Bitcoin there really is no way to get cryptography out of the conversation. After all is said and done there really is no major reason to fret because you do not need to know the ins and outs in order for Bitcoin to work for you! General or a simple basic understanding is all that you will need for success! The word Cryptography may sound intimidating to some people however it basically comes down to a study of secure communication!

The type of Cryptography the Bitcoin uses is a little different than some ways you might have heard about. A person who wants to receive an encrypted message will have to types of accounts, a public followed by a private account.
Once someone encrypts a message no one will ever be able to understand it without the private key!

Is your head spinning yet? not a problem just know that private keys are what give a person the ability to unlock those funky looking messages!

Bitcoin uses this type of encryption which is called "public key" or "asymmetric key" now you can imagine, the public key is used as a public address. people are now able to send you bitcoin with that public address and every single public address has a corresponding  private key that allows the owner of the account to spend the value stored in that public address!

luckily for the average everyday user that has no idea about encryption all of these things happen behind the scenes by whatever type of system or software Bitcoin is using to manage bitcoin.

I Know a lot of this might seem irrelevant but isn't it nice to know what's going on behind the scenes encase there ever was an issue that came up with you access or currency?
