What is a Bitcoin?

A Bitcoin is a type of currency. what type of currency? if you asked that question then you are definitely in the right place. A Bitcoin is a type of crypto currency that you cant necessarily hold unless you transfer it over to cash or find a company or place of business that will accept it as a method of payment. In other words you cant hold or fondle it like you would with your typical paper money. Encryption technique's are used in such a way to regulate the generation of units of currency (Bitcoin) and verify the transfer of funds operating independently of a central bank. speculators have jumped into this hot commodity with success and some failure. I'm not saying to get out there and start trading Bitcoin nor am I responsible if you do and you lose everything, this is just explaining what a Bitcoin is! (good luck out there!!!!)

How does it work? 

Well its somewhat simple and if your tech savvy then this is like walking to the mail box for you. When you make a transaction between yourself and another person or between you and a company what happens is this. First there would be a simple transaction of value between the bitcoin wallets that would be included in something you call a "block chain" your Bitcoin "wallet" is an online or digital wallet that is secured by secret piece of data called a "seed" or a "private key" which is used to sign transactions, providing mathematical proof that they have come from whoever is the owner of the wallet.

How do I get a Bitcoin wallet?

well all you have to do is walk down to your local American Eagle store, Sears, or any department store and ask where they keep their "Bitcoin wallets" and proceed to watch them look at you...then reply sorry sir I don't understand did you say Michael Korr's? lol THAT IS NOT how you do it. In fact you don't have to leave your home all you need to do is purchase it from your computer as its something that you don't really hold in your hand. All you need to go is search Bitcoin wallets and pick which one suits you the best and what you feel comfortable with!!

What is a Bitcoin worth? well its hard to pinpoint that answer and it changes all the time just like the value of our dollar changes except the value of a single Bitcoin is far more greater than that of the all mighty dollar!
